The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, which operates a premier chain of over 1,250 schools across the country. Established in 1963, its primary objective is to provide quality education to the children of transferable Central Government employees, defense personnel, and paramilitary personnel through a common curriculum (CBSE).
